I got a lot of positive responses from the article Public display of ownership (below).  It recounts a short and very subtle moment where a Dominatrix slyly reveals her ownership of a submissive, to a stranger.  It describes some of the interesting situations you get into when you’re in a 24/7 BDSM relationship and you still have to deal with the vanilla world.

The story is not sexual, in fact you could even say that it’s cute.  Yes, it’s a cute story about a BDSM relationship.  What people who contacted me liked about the article is that it showed a side of BDSM that is often buried.  They liked the idea of a public display that was completely harmless and yet showed their unique relationship.

Public displays of ownership can range from cute stories like this to very hardcore stuff on pay sites.  I personally believe that the BDSM community needs to be respectful to people who are not into the lifestyle.  With that said, crafty, subtle, public displays can be very delicious between players and a source of great fun!
