Fantasy Photographer Dirk Hooper in Hong Kong Group Exhibition

HONG KONG, CHINA, June 22, 2010 – Award-winning fantasy photographer Dirk Hooper will have ten photos on display June 27^th during the “Accumulate” international art exhibition in Hong Kong, China. Hooper’s work will join dozens of other international artists at the grand opening of “That Gallery”. The organizers of the art show describe “Accumulate” as an opportunity to bring together artists from around the word and to exhibit the combined imagination of these artists by showcasing multiple works in a confined space.

Hooper is excited to have work in Hong Kong. “I’ve wanted to get a foothold in Asia for a while now and it’s hard to beat an exhibition in Hong Kong. My dream is to get a show in Tokyo, but I’m thrilled with this first step,” Hooper said. Known primarily for fetish photography, “Accumulate” presents a softer side of Hooper’s work. “This is not an erotic art show, so I focused more on fantasy and glamour style portraits. The style is the same, but this work is not as provocative as most of my shows lately,” Hooper explained.

Danger Darling and Scott Van Eck both do work as makeup artists in the ten photos Hooper has in the “Accumulate” exhibition. The models represented in Hooper’s photos are:

Fetish Photographer Dirk Hooper Displays at Allentown’s Freak Out Festival

ALLENTOWN, PENNSYLVANIA, June 17, 2010 – World-renowned fetish photographer Dirk Hooper will have two pieces on display at the “Buffet of Lowbrow” group exhibition. Hooper’s canvas art prints will be part of a show featuring over twenty invited artists Push Art Gallery in Allentown, Pennsylvania. The “Buffet of Lowbrow” group exhibition will begin Saturday, June 19 during Allentown’s “Freak Out Festival.”

Dirk Hooper said, “The gang at Push Art Gallery is really doing an amazing job of presenting interesting and cutting-edge art. I’m proud to be a part of this show because I admire the work of the other artists so much.” Hooper’s contributions are two canvas halftone art prints. One print, titled “Zing” features Toxic Goddess Selkie in a Shibari rig. The second print, co-created with photographer Robert Henry and featuring Toxic Goddess Kali, was the first canvas halftone art print Hooper designed titled “Out of Sight”.

The surf-punk band “The Great White Caps” will be live and there will be a live graffiti mural painting by New York City’s URNewYork and Konnik.

OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLAHOMA, June 11, 2010 – “The Fetish Show” podcast is looking for information and interaction from people in the worlds of alternative photography, fetish modeling, burlesque performance, erotic art shows and the BDSM community. “The Fetish Show” podcast is a new audio broadcast dedicated to providing interviews, news and reviews of everything that captivates kink enthusiasts. “The Fetish Show” is asking for information about upcoming events, contact with potential guests and questions from the public about fetish photography, modeling and BDSM. Answers to the questions will be presented during the podcast.

“The Fetish Show” podcast is hosted by fetish photographer Dirk Hooper and co-hosted by professional dominatrix Princess Zoe. “If we’re going to provide the best up-to-date information, and the most compelling interviews, we really need help from the fetish community.
